Serato/Rane combines cutting-edge DJ software with top-of-the-line RANE hardware in the form of an integrated sound card and mixer. Additionally, you have the constant ability to record your sets and performances directly to your computer.

The MP4 not only allows playback of digital files, but also values flexibility and supports traditional analog input formats. The MP4 is an all-in-one solution, requiring only a single USB cable for connection to your computer.

The MP4 allows you to:
- Play from analog sources (vinyl, CD)
- Play digital files
- Record stereo signals while having the option to monitor another source through the headphone CUE system.

This is a two-channel mixer with stereo line/phono inputs, two stereo digital inputs via USB, and one stereo digital output via USB. Channels A, B, Master, or Microphone can be assigned for recording via USB. The MP4 offers simple digital recording of analog and digital sources, a feature not available in other software solutions.

Great attention has been paid to the grounding separation between the computer and the mixer, as experience shows that degradation of sound due to various noises and hums is a common issue. With the MP4, you don't have to worry about such problems, as it is powered by a universal switched power supply in addition to ground isolation.

The MP4 supports up to 24-bit depth and a sampling frequency of up to 48kHz. In the package, you will find CoreAudio drivers for Mac and ASIO for Windows, allowing you to use the MP4 as a high-quality sound card in your favorite audio applications, including Serato Scratch LIVE.

The MP4 on its own, without additional boards or CDs, is suitable for DJs who want to mix analog with digital but do not require direct contact with timecode vinyl. The package includes Scratch LIVE software without these discs. It features an added new control screen for the MP4, offering the same functions but controlled through the user interface on the screen.
