The iLive iDR0 is a compact mixing system from the iLive series designed for rack mounting. This core of the entire iLive system includes essential components such as DSP unit iDR-64 "RackExtra", CPU module for remote control and mixing functions, RAB module (remote audio) for network audio signal transmission (e.g., EtherSound). The iLive iDR0 is a standalone mixing console controllable via Ethernet using an iLive console or a computer. Unlike the larger iLive iDR10 variant, it does not support additional input/output modules. All audio signal transfer is facilitated through the EtherSound network. The iLive iDR0 is a compact solution for applications like split FOH/monitor setups, recording in combination with one of the modular iLive consoles where all necessary audio inputs/outputs are installed. The iLive iDR0 is primarily suitable for two usage scenarios:

- Split FOH/Monitor: Two iLive systems utilizing a single series of microphone preamps in one rack. One system uses iDR10, which has 10 slots for installing analog/digital inputs/outputs. The second system uses the smaller iDR0, which has no audio inputs/outputs, and receives audio signal from the first system via an EtherSound digital splitter. This solution is more efficient, saves space, and is more cost-effective than using two sets of audio inputs/outputs and an analog splitter. One sound engineer controls the preamp gain of both systems, while the other has digital control over channel settings.

- Compact Standalone Mixing Console: If the modular iLive console is equipped with an adequate number of inputs/outputs, the iDR0 can be used as a compact digital mixing console. For example, if the iLive console has 24 inputs / 8 outputs and includes 8 internal effects, it provides an equivalent of an analog mixing console with 24 mono inputs + 8 stereo (returns) and 16 outputs (including effect sends). Additional inputs/outputs can be connected using another device with an EtherSound interface.

The 2U rack contains 3 modules: iDR-64 "RackExtra" DSP unit, CPU (with Ethernet switch and 3 ports, MIDI and PL-Anet interface), and RAB module with 2x EtherSound network interfaces (ESA/ESB), headphone output, and WorldClock. ESA facilitates network audio signal transfer to and from the iLive console (if the relevant cards are installed), while ESB allows connection of 64 channels (digital snake) to another MixRack device or recording equipment compatible with EtherSound. The DSP processes 64 inputs, 32 outputs, and 8 internal effects in real-time. Two CAT-5 cables are used to connect the iDR0 and iLive console. One for network control/operation and the other for audio signal transmission (EtherSound). The iLive iDR0 uses a universal internal power supply. An external rack power supply iPS10 can be used as a backup. The iLive iDR0 modules are:
- RAB module offering a local headphone output, optional network audio interface, and clock synchronization source. Up to 2 EtherSound network cards can be installed in the RAB module, enabling audio signal transfer between the iLive iDR0 and iLive console or computer (requires EtherSound interface such as Digigram LX6464 card). The ESA card replaces traditional multi-pair cables for audio signal transmission. The ESB card allows the system to be used as a digital microphone splitter for FOH/Monitor/Recording applications and system expansion.
- CPU module providing TCP/IP communication via Ethernet for control from iLive consoles or computers. It includes an Ethernet switch with 3 ports, allowing control of the "MixRack" from multiple devices (e.g., iLive consoles and computers simultaneously), a MIDI port, and a PL-Anet interface, which can also be used for system control.
- DSP "RackExtra" module is the main DSP unit of the entire mixing system, handling calculations/processing for the 64x32 channel architecture, including 8 internal FX racks.
