The **EAW MW8** is a coaxial stage monitor boasting 350W at 8 Ohms. It features a 1x 8" + 1x 1" (throat) driver configuration with a dispersion of 90°x 90° and a frequency range of 85 Hz - 18 kHz. Equipped with 2x Neutrik speakon NL4 connectors, this monitor is compact and lightweight at 251.5x307x391 (mm) and 9kg. With minimal dimensions, maximum performance, and feedback protection without the need for DSP, the MW8 incorporates separate passive high and low pass filters made up of a total of 19 elements. Its optimally damped volume, free of parallel walls, suppresses standing waves and facilitates stacking multiple units side by side. Special space damping beneath the grille and its shape eliminate reflections and diffractions that could occur. The effective bass reflex, in direct connection with the ground, conceals a recessed bi-amp switch, connectors, and even allows for the insertion of a microphone stand leg or easy transportation behind it. The built-in rigging enables hanging the MicroWedge, and all four sizes (8", 10", 12", 15") can be successfully combined on stage. MicroWedge monitors are compatible with EAW UX8800 and UX3600 processors, which uniquely correct the inherent deficiencies of any real loudspeaker through EAW Focusing technology. The **MicroWedge MW8** is the result of a collaboration between the original inventor of the MicroWedge series, Dave "Rat" Levine (owner of Rat Sound System), and EAW. The coaxial design pairs an 8" woofer with a 1.4" compression driver with a 90°x 90° horn, emitting all frequencies from the same point, thus eliminating crossover region issues, time delays, and phase shifts.
