The **EAW MW15** is a coaxial stage monitor delivering 1000W + 150W of power through a 15" and a 1.4" driver, with a dispersion of 90°x 90° and a frequency range of 62 Hz - 20 kHz. Featuring 2x Neutrik speakon NL4 connectors, it measures 517.4x614x351 (mm) and weighs 27 kg. With minimal dimensions, maximum power, and feedback protection even without DSP, this monitor features separate passive upper and lower crossovers made up of 19 components. Its optimally damped volume, free of parallel walls, suppresses standing waves and facilitates stacking multiple units side by side. Special space damping under the grille and its shape eliminate reflections and diffractions. The effective bass reflex, directly coupled with the ground, conceals a recessed bi-amp switch and connectors, while allowing for a microphone stand leg to be inserted or for easy transportation. The built-in rigging allows for hanging the MicroWedge, and all four sizes (8", 10", 12", 15") can be successfully combined on stage. The MicroWedge monitors are compatible with EAW UX8800 and UX3600 processors, which uniquely correct the inherent deficiencies of any real loudspeaker through EAW Focusing technology. The **MicroWedge MW15** is the result of a collaboration between the original inventor of the MicroWedge series, Dave "Rat" Levin (owner of Rat Sound System), and EAW. This coaxial design pairs a 15" driver with a 1.4" (throat) high-frequency driver with a 90°x 90° dispersion. The large opening in the front of the cabinet enhances the lower frequency response along with the floor, also serving as a handle for transport and housing a switch for passive/bi-amp modes. The coaxial design ensures all frequencies radiate from the same point, eliminating crossover region issues, time delays, and phase shifts. Additionally, the coaxial design allows for a very compact and low-profile construction.
