Compact size, maximum performance, and feedback safety even without DSP, with separate passive upper and lower crossovers made up of a total of 19 components. Optimally damped volume completely without parallel walls suppresses standing waves and facilitates stacking multiple units next to each other. Special space damping under the grille and its shape eliminate reflections and diffractions that could occur. An effective bass reflex in direct connection with the surface conceals a recessed bi-amp switch, connectors, and you can even tuck a microphone stand leg behind it or comfortably carry the MW by it. Built-in rigging allows MicroWedge to be hung and all four sizes (8", 10", 12", 15") can be successfully combined on stage. MicroWedge monitors are compatible with EAW UX8800 and UX3600 processors, which uniquely correct the inherent deficiencies of each real loudspeaker through EAW Focusing technology.

MicroWedge MW12 was created through a collaboration between the original inventor of the MicroWedge series, Dave "Rat" Levine (owner of Rat Sound System), and EAW. The result is a dramatic improvement in performance and ergonomics. The coaxial construction pairs a 12" woofer and a 1.4" compression driver with a horn, offering a wide 90°x 90° dispersion. A large opening in the front of the cabinet enhances the lower frequency response along with the floor, also serving as a handle for transport and housing a switch for two passive/bi-amp modes. Due to the coaxial design, all frequencies radiate from the same point, eliminating issues with crossover regions, time, and phase shifts. Additionally, the coaxial design allows for a very compact construction and low profile. The MW12 features integrated rigging hardware on the bottom of the cabinet.
