The KF740 Line Array system is optimized for a wide range of touring and installation applications. While it matches the performance of the larger KF760 model, its dimensions and weight align more with the ultra-compact KF730, making it an ideal solution for various uses ranging from large concert tours, club sound reinforcement, to fixed installations in sports arenas, churches, theaters, and more.
Two 1.4" HF compression drivers with 2.5" voice coils and two 8" MF speakers, in line with EAW's CSA technology (Coherent Summation Array), are integrated into 2 common horns that utilize the entire front surface of the enclosure. The MF frequency range extends up to 160 Hz. Two out of the four 10" woofers with 2.5" voice coils are integrated into the MF/HF horns and, combined with the second pair on the sides of the enclosure, provide side radiation attenuation of up to -18 dB. EAW Focusing, applied through the UX8800 processor, ensures uniform coverage over the entire 90° horizontal dispersion angle and perfect alignment of neighboring speaker arrays.
Vertical coverage can be adjusted to suit the requirements of any space. The sound field created by KF740 models allows seamless coverage from the area directly under the stage to areas hundreds of meters away with coherent waves of highly faithful and detailed sound. Additionally, the versatile KF740 models can be added above smaller KF730 models or below larger KF760 speakers to meet any imaginable application. Impressive performance and low-frequency extension can be enhanced by using the optional SB1002 hanging subwoofer.
KF740 is manufactured in the USA. The sophisticated design utilizes top-quality components, such as Baltic birch plywood cabinets, wear-resistant textured coating, lacquered steel grilles, extruded aluminum reinforcements, precision alignment pins, Neutrik NL8 connectors, oversized handles, and cast aluminum side handles. Quality accessories are also available - flybars, stage carts, rigging hardware, and the AB7674 -73 adapter for connecting KF740 or KF730 to KF760, and the AB7473 adapter for linking KF740 to KF730.
