The new MKD series of loudspeakers is designed to deliver high performance, wide frequency range, and consistent sound reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum and declared radiation angle. All while maintaining exceptional sound fidelity suitable for installations ranging from stadiums to small music clubs. The 1500 series includes models with horn radiation angles of 45x45°, 60x45°, and 90x45°.
The MKD loudspeakers utilize design principles and core technologies previously used in the QX series, where two subwoofers are symmetrically positioned around a large-format rotatable HF driver horn, simulating a point source throughout the frequency spectrum. The MKD15xx series offers a bi-amp operating mode. Acoustically advanced drivers play up to an octave lower than usual thanks to a proprietary crossover technology tailored to the radiation angle.
The MKD series builds on the long-standing tradition of exceptional EAW loudspeakers developed in collaboration with sound system consultants and architects worldwide. The compact, durable Baltic birch enclosure allows for easy installation with a range of M10 mounting points and optional brackets for wall or ceiling mounting. The subtle curvature of the front of the loudspeaker enables elegant installations in design-sensitive environments.
