EAW DC1

The EAW DC1 loudspeaker from the Avalon series delivers high-performance detailed sound and is suitable for large and medium-sized clubs for dance parties and live performances.
EAW has been a leader in club sound reinforcement since the beginning, and in the late 90s, they came up with the concept of creating a whole range of loudspeakers specifically designed for club environments, aiming not only to "adapt" standard PA systems, as many manufacturers were doing with debatable results.
The result is loudspeakers that produce powerful yet pleasant and immersive sound even at close range, perfect for dance floors, avoiding sharp sound blasts that can be fatiguing and allowing for conversations within its field.

During several months of development, EAW engineers tested the new models in club environments (based on the Avalon nightclub, the series eventually got its name). The Avalon series loudspeakers quickly became a hit and within the first year of production, they were installed in dozens of prestigious clubs.
They incorporate many groundbreaking enhancements that were later transferred to other series (such as horn construction, Tuned Dipolar Array technology, etc.), along with an impressive visual design that enhances the club's atmosphere. The bass reproduction is enhanced to meet the specific needs of contemporary dance music (double the number of LF drivers – 4x 15", extended response for rhythmic bass).
Asymmetrical horns allow coverage beneath the loudspeaker if mounted directly on the wall. There are 35 integrated rigging points for aiming the loudspeaker. The compact shape allows for tilting even when placed at the highest position where a low ceiling might restrict installation.
Optionally, the installation can be complemented with one of two models of EAW DCT super-tweeters with a range of 5-15 kHz to enhance spatial psychedelic effects.
