Allen&Heath M-WAVES • platform with extremely low latency for compatible Waves plugins • 64x input/output including control • Internal Gigabit switch for direct device connection
M-WAVES is a network card for iLive that allows integration with other systems. The advantages of SoundGrid network technology include using top-notch Waves software plugins, multi-track recording and playback. M-Waves provides access to 64 inputs/outputs and can be installed in the expansion slots of iLive T-Series MixRacks (iDR-16/32/48/64) or xDR-16 expander. It can also be used in the modular iDR-0, iDR-10 series with the RAB2 module. The integrated Ethernet switch with two ports and one SoundGrid port (RJ45) allows the M-Waves module to connect to various devices. SoundGrid is a network protocol created by Waves for real-time professional applications, offering ultra-low latency over standard Gigabit Ethernet networks. Audio signal processing is handled by Intel processor-based servers and a special Linux OS version. The audio signal is sent from the iLive MixRack to the server, processed with effects like reverbs, EQ, compressors, etc., and sent back to the iLive system.
