Allen&Heath iLive Dante (M-DANTE) • Expansion card for the iLive system • Bidirectional transfer of 64 audio channels via Ethernet • Dante Virtual Soundcard - recording/playback from PC/Mac
iLive Dante is a digital audio networking technology developed by the Australian company Audinate. It utilizes standard CAT-5 cable and common network components for transmitting multi-channel audio signals, including control with ultra-low latency. Allen&Heath has incorporated the new Brooklyn II card from Audinate, bringing Dante technology for bidirectional transfer of 64 audio channels. The card can be installed into the B port of any iLive MixRack device for system linking, digital splitting of microphone signals, or recording up to 64 channels and networking with various devices that feature Dante interfaces (such as audio processors, amplifiers, etc.). Alternatively, the card can be installed into the RAB2 module (port A) of the modular iLive rack for connecting the console and MixRack. The Dante virtual soundcard software allows for connecting 64 iLive audio channels to a PC/Mac via an Ethernet port. This option is ideal for recording/playback or for utilizing/integrating software effect plugins in the iLive system. One license for the Dante virtual soundcard software is included with the card.
