Allen&Heath ACE (M-ACE-A) • Expansion card for iLive/MixRack consoles • Bidirectional transfer of 64 digital audio channels, control • CAT-5 cable with RJ45 connector • Transmission up to 120m
M-ACE-A is one of the many expansion cards that can be installed in iLive series devices. It enables the transmission of multi-channel digital audio including control when connecting two MixRacks or a MixRack and an iLive console using a single CAT-5 cable. ACE (audio and control over ethernet) is a protocol created by Allen&Heath for transmitting control and audio between MixRacks or between a MixRack and an iLive console using a standard CAT-5 cable with an RJ45 connector. It allows low-latency bidirectional connection of up to 64 audio channels. Additionally, network control can be transmitted over the same cable and network (TCP/IP ethernet). This means that only one cable is needed to interconnect devices up to a distance of 120m. The card features two ACE ports. Port 1 is primary, while Port 2 can be set to mirror outputs from Port 1 (for signal splitting to another device) or as a secondary backup connection.
