Allen & Heath celebrates 20 years since the introduction of the legendary Xone:92 by releasing a limited edition version of the revamped Xone:92, which combines classic style with modern enhancements, delivering the best version of the iconic analog DJ mixer to date.
The Xone:92 Limited Edition pays homage to the original early series of Xone:92 mixers with a silver top panel in a retro style reminiscent of the popular design from the early millennium. The Xone design team carefully matched the color of the limited edition with one of the oldest Xone:92 units. Improvements were made to enhance the readability of key controls, with filter switches and XFade recessed for maximum mixing ergonomics. The crossfader has been upgraded to the industry-favorite mini innoFADER Pro, maintaining the response curve of the original Xone:92 crossfader.
The phono preamps have been fine-tuned to extract the best possible sound from your vinyl records. Hours of listening tests were conducted for the limited edition to set an optimal RIAA curve tailored specifically for electronic music, delivering unprecedented detail when playing vinyl records. A new feature has been added to adapt to changes in audio sources for DJs who combine vinyl and digital media in their sets.
The original Xone:92 VCF filter, a benchmark since its introduction in 2004, has been further perfected in the limited edition. The updated VCF filter has been enhanced for easier control while fully retaining its legendary sonic character. It features refined bandwidth narrowing and enhanced frequency setting precision thanks to an optimized control curve, all without compromising the beloved filter sound. The circuitry update also includes quiet filter switching and improved resonance.
Not only is the mixer a work of art, but the package also includes an exclusive 12” art print on premium archival-quality paper using professional pigment ink, hand-signed and serial-numbered by Mark Settle – the designer and founder of DJ websites DJWORX and SKRATCHWORX. Also included is a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity from THE WORXLAB.
With only 920 units produced worldwide, the Xone:92 Limited Edition is the ultimate collector's item for vinyl and analog technology enthusiasts. The rear panel of each mixer features a specially designed label with a unique sequential serial number. The package also includes a keychain with an engraved serial number.
