Rane - RAD16

The RAD16 by Rane is a smart digital controller designed for concealed installations, making it easy to mount in ceilings and hidden floor spaces. Its key features include remote control, support for external switches, a robust metal chassis, and extensive mounting options for easy placement. The RAD16 complies with UL 2043 regulations.
It is equipped with two balanced Mic/Line/Line-Plus inputs and two line outputs via Euroblock connectors. Line-Plus allows connection of an unbalanced stereo source through a single balanced input for subsequent mono operation. Inputs can be individually switched between Line, Mic, or Line-Plus modes via software interface, and phantom power can be activated for condenser microphones in the same manner. LED indicators display input mode, output and input levels, and connection status with the HAL unit.
The device features 2 communication inputs/outputs "Logic inputs" and "Logic outputs" for interfacing with third-party devices (push-to-talk or mute switches, projectors, lights, alarms, etc.) to the HAL distribution system. The pin layout on "Logic In" is located between pin 1 or 2 and ground, facilitating connection of device contact switches. The output voltage of "Logic out" is 5V high or 0V low.
Galvanic isolation prevents current flow between the RAD and the host device, allowing only signal transmission without disruptive interference. The RAD16 is available only in black and can be mounted on any flat surface.
