The Chrome edition of the Qu digital mixing consoles enhances the system's flexibility with new firmware and adds a range of new features. Expect features like Automatic Mic Mixing, Spectrogram, and additional monitor paths.
The Chrome edition mixing consoles Qu-16, Qu-24, and Qu-32 feature potentiometers and faders in a metallic finish, similar to the premium GLD Chrome series. They provide improved visibility and overall user-friendliness of controls in low-light conditions.
The AMM function, or "Automatic Mic Mixer," allows automated control of microphone inputs, freeing users from the need to manually adjust output levels during long speeches.
The Chair button enables easy priority assignment, where, for example, the speech of a CEO can be used as a source for ducking all other microphone inputs. These enhancements can now be activated in two modes: "D-Classic," which offers dynamic gain sharing for instant and easy workspace setup, and "Number of Open Microphones" (NOM), an intelligent technology for setting gate thresholds, allowing flexible automatic mixing with advanced configuration options.
Another new tool is the Spectrogram, which reliably analyzes the signal to locate problematic frequencies and define complex acoustic situations, helping to eliminate feedback.
Firmware Qu v1.8 Chrome also unlocks more monitor paths. Stereo groups can be switched to Mix mode. This feature increases the number of discrete monitor paths to 9 on the Qu-24 (4x mono and 5x stereo). The Qu-32 and Qu-Pac models are expanded to 11 (4x mono, 7x stereo), elevating all these consoles to a higher class suitable for touring and monitoring applications.
The Qu-Pad mobile app has been enhanced with new controls, windows, and features, allowing remote control of AMM settings. The Qu-You app for personal monitoring with increased monitor paths also offers greater user comfort.
