The AR84 BLACK is an expansion AudioRack for the GLD digital mixing system. Each AR84 adds 8 XLR inputs and 4 XLR outputs to the GLD system. Up to two AR84 expanders can be connected to one GLD system, linking directly to the GLD-80 or through the main GLD-2412 AudioRack. Connection is achieved using a CAT-5 cable and the dSnake protocol, enabling communication up to a distance of 120m. dSnake is used for remote preamp control, signal transmission, and recall of settings.
