Wall-mounted control and I/O interface for HAL system, LCD display, 8W amplifier, PoE.
The Rane RAD26 equips any room with an accessible user interface consisting of a color LCD display and rotary encoders. In addition to practical control, it features a universal dual interface with inputs and outputs (line in, headphone output, a 4W dual-channel amplifier), all powered by a single Cat5 cable.
Three "logical" inputs and three active outputs expand the overall connectivity of this interface. The built-in amplifier can power a pair of compact speakers in stereo, with the software control panel allowing outputs to be "bridged" for up to 8W of power.
The RAD26 provides an ample amount of inputs and outputs for room control within the HAL system, which can be expanded to include:
Local line input: (smartphone, laptop, MP3, DVD)
One or two microphone or line inputs
Amplifier outputs for ceiling speakers
Volume control
Source selection
On the rear panel, you will find two symmetrical Euroblock connectors (Mic / Line / Line-Plus), whose function can be configured in Halogen software. The Line-Plus mode accepts unbalanced stereo signals and merges them into a mono signal. The RAD26 is also equipped with 24V phantom power for condenser microphones.
Casual users will appreciate the presence of a 3.5mm jack for quick connection of smartphones, laptops, and other devices.
Symmetrical outputs can be used to connect an active subwoofer and additional speakers.
The RAD26 is visually discreet, with a built-in light sensor that automatically dims the display backlight and status LEDs in low-light rooms.
The wall mount can be slid onto electrical boxes or recessed using the DR6 bracket with a 5cm cable hole.
