It features a USB input/output for easy stereo recording, 6 microphone preamps, 4 stereo inputs with EQ, and a total of 157 controls on the front panel. ZED 14 excels in live sound applications. With 100mm faders, logical and straightforward control layout, it allows for quick response to changing situations. ZED 14 is also well-suited for recording, live broadcasting, and home audio projects. Microphone/Line Preamps: Based on the preamps used in the PA series, the ZED series utilizes a dual design. XLR microphone inputs offer up to 69dB of gain. The line input is via a TRS Jack connector. EQ: The ZED series features a 3-band equalizer on mono inputs and a 2-band equalizer on stereo inputs. AUX: ZED includes 4 auxiliary buses (2 pre-fade, 2 post-fade), AUX 1 and 2 have a master level control. AUX can be routed to the USB output for recording or for using software plugin effects. AUX 1 and 2 can be set as a stereo pair with sends on stereo channels switched to mono or stereo. USB: Functions as a USB audio interface for recording and playback. AUX or main output can be routed to the USB output. The sound card is plug'n'play, so no drivers need to be installed for PC/Mac. The USB interface can also be used for an effects loop for software plugins. USB send: main mix L+R (Post-fade), main mix L+R (Pre-fade), AUX 1-2, AUX 3-4.
