It features a USB input/output for easy stereo recording/playback, 4 microphone preamps, and 2 Class A FET high impedance inputs. The ZED-10 is great for live sound reinforcement and is also suitable for recording, live broadcasting, and home audio projects. Microphone/Line Preamps: Based on the preamps used in the MixWizard series, the preamps in the ZED-10 and ZED-10FX utilize discrete circuits with low-noise transistors to achieve high gain (up to 60dB), low noise, and good linearity. GTR/Hi-Z Inputs: These two inputs with ultra-high impedance (Class A discrete, FET) are specifically designed for the ZED-10/ZED-10FX, allowing connection of any instrument or guitar. With up to 26dB of gain, they accommodate instruments with low output signal levels. EQ: The ZED-10/ZED-10FX feature a 3-band equalizer on each mono input with adjustable mid-frequency and a 2-band EQ on stereo inputs. The EQ frequencies and responses are carefully selected for optimal performance with various signal sources. Recording Bus: Any input signal can be routed to a separately switchable stereo bus. This bus can be used for recording, monitoring, or as a clean stereo output. The bus can also receive output from an effects processor, turning the mixer into an effects unit (ZED-10FX). USB: Functions as a sound card with stereo input/output. The USB sound card is plug'n'play without the need for driver installation. Compatible with PC/Mac. The USB can record the output from: - Main mix L+R (post master) - AUX + effects bus (AUX as pre-fade send, FX as post-fade send) - Recording bus "Record" L+R (separate stereo bus to the main mix)
