AUX: ZED-12FX/ZED-22FX have 4 auxiliary AUX buses. 3 can be used for connecting external devices such as stage monitors, effects units, etc., the fourth bus is used for the internal effects unit.
Effects unit: ZED-12FX/ZED-22FX feature a professional-quality effects processor that utilizes proprietary algorithms developed by Allen&Heath engineers. The range of effects includes classic reverbs, delay + reverb cascades, flanger, and chorus. Different types of effects are selected using simple up/down buttons and tempo (for example, delays) can be set using the TAP button. The audio signal to the DSP unit is converted using 24-bit AD converters with a sampling frequency of 48kHz. The effects are characterized by low noise, low distortion, and transparency.
