A point source of sound in acoustics is like the Holy Grail, promising almost miraculous results, yet practically unattainable. Just like knights and King Arthur, RCF engineers have gone through a long journey in search of it, and the latest member of the Touring&Theatre family is a very real contribution to this quest. The 22.5×60° dispersion angle along with the 550 Hz crossover frequency required the development of a completely unique mid-high frequency waveguide of unusually large dimensions and precision, complementing the new design of the 2" driver with a 4" titanium diaphragm. When combined with the built-in electronics delivering 1,600 W of power, RDNet-enabled DSP at 32 bit / 96 kHz, and the latest generation neodymium 15" woofer, the TTP5-A excels wherever vertically or horizontally oriented clusters are suitable, with assembly made exceptionally easy thanks to the integrated rigging system.
