ANNA is the latest system from EAW's flagship Adaptive™ Systems line. It brings all the benefits of adaptive functionality in a medium-sized loudspeaker format weighing just 61kg. The excellent ratio of acoustic pressure to weight makes the ANNA system a versatile tool suitable for anything from small clubs to stadiums or large productions. With a 100° horizontal coverage angle, the ANNA system can be used standalone or horizontally arrayed with the Anya system within the same cluster. Like all Adaptive Systems, ANNA is controlled via Resolution™ 2 software over Dante™ network and utilizes the same standardized data and power infrastructure.
The ANNA modules are designed for flat hanging without vertical angling. Resolution™ 2 software adjusts the ANNA system's radiation to evenly cover the user-defined listening area across the entire frequency range. The combination of immense power and modular design gives the ANNA system extraordinary versatility for use anywhere from small clubs, theaters, large modern churches, to stadiums and large-scale concerts. Careful selection of speaker sizes and their placement within the loudspeaker allows the ANNA system to create radical directional characteristics (such as very narrow coverage directed almost vertically downward) with unusually high fidelity and broadband attenuation outside the desired coverage area.
Each ANNA module features 8x 1" high-frequency drivers with 35mm coils mounted in a common high-frequency waveguide that smoothly expands into almost the entire front wall of the speaker cabinet. 4x 5" midrange drivers are arranged in two columns of two speakers each and, using Radial Phase Plug™ and Concentric Summation Array™ technologies, are coherently integrated into the high-frequency range using a common waveguide. A pair of 10" woofers is installed in an Offset Aperture™ arrangement, increasing the separation of their effective acoustic centers, allowing effective directivity control even at low frequencies.
The module's horizontal symmetry ensures coherent summation, excluding anomalies in the crossover region resulting from physical separation of acoustic sources. The result is uniform directional radiation well-defined across a wide frequency range.
Each ANNA module is equipped with a field-replaceable power block containing 14 channels of power amplifiers with independent processing for each channel. Each of the 14 speakers in the ANNA module is driven independently as dictated by the predictive and control software to meet the requirement of optimal coverage for each listening position.
